Dear Family and Friends, For those of you who haven’t received the unfortunate news, my sister, Rhonda, passed away yesterday morning after fighting brain cancer for the past five years.
I’ve just learned from Rhonda’s husband, Jeff, that funeral services have been arranged on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at:
Corona Congregational Church 102-18 34th Avenue. Queens, NY 11368. Telephone #: 718-335-8185
Viewing will be from 5-7 pm with services beginning immediately following the viewing.
Interment will be held the following morning, Friday May 29, 2015 at:
Calverton National Cemetery 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933.
After this sad news made the rounds through our circle of friends, Karli passed along this other message from Rhonda’s family:
For those family and friends interested in sending flowers or making donations, Jeff has suggested that you can arrange to have flowers delivered to Corona Congregational Church (see address above), prior to the start of viewing on Thursday May 28. Alternatively, if you’d prefer to make a charitable donation in Rhonda’s name in lieu of flowers the recommendations for charities are:

United Negro College Fund (UNCF)Finally, Jeff is arranging a repast to be held at the church after returning from the interment services, Friday.

Rhonda Cheryl Best-Robinson was our classmate, and through a strong friendship with another classmate, Karli Woods, met her future husband Jeff. Thus a life-long connection was made, from friendship to family. Now she is gone, and so we mourn.
Folks have inquired about doing something, and so we will accept donations to purchase a flower arrangement for the funeral a week from now. Â Please click on the donate button below and donate whatever you feel comfortable. A decent arrangement is about $200, if just a few of us throw in about $20, we should be fine. Anything beyond the price of the flowers will be donated equally to the two charities Reginald listed above. The donate button will be up until sometime in the evening (EST) Tuesday, May 26.
